One of the very first posters designed specifically for Swissair, created by Theodor “Teddy” Brunner, who founded his own agency in Zurich in the second half of the 1930s. The exact year of printing can no longer be ascertained, but based on the DC-3 depicted, which was in service from 1937 (and, incidentally, was assembled by Fokker in Amsterdam, which is why experts like to refer to it as the Douglas-Fokker DC-3), it is likely to have been 1937 or 1938 – possibly printed by Brunner himself. Individual contours of the aircraft have been heightened in white by hand.

Rarer than rare; at least we are not aware of a second copy.
