Original Swiss Travel Poster designed by Valais painter Emil Aufdenblatten (1910 – 1958), who in 1928 cashed in his inheritance from the Hotel du Parc in Zermatt, built and run by his father, in order to study art in Rome and Florence. Accordingly, the motif has a touch of the old masters about it and stands out from the posters created according to the design principles of the time, giving the poster a peculiar charm.
