The first of the two New York posters created by Henri Ott for Swissair, which he designed as linocuts in the early 1950s – along with several designs more for other cities. However, his Statue of Liberty mistakenly holds the torch in her left hand (which does not diminish the expressiveness of the image one bit). Neither does the fact that some vandal has cut off the blank edges of the sheet in order, I suspect, to squeeze it into a frame.
