Another of Martin Peikert’s original posters bursting with joie de vivre – this time coquettishly advertising the cable car from Wengen in the Bernese Oberland to the Männlichen at around 2350 meters above sea level, where there is a magnificent view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and a number of slopes for skiing are waiting.
An excellently preserved example of this sought-after Swiss tourism poster, which lives from the strong contrasts of the three primary colors; the fact that the viewer almost feels a little caught out enhances the advertising effect even more; rare.
