Original Swissair Poster created in 1948 by Viktor Hasslauer and thus one of the first that the airline commissioned after the Second World War – in this case to advertise its not yet regular flights with the DC-4 from Geneva to Johannesburg in South Africa. If an airline were to advertise in this way today – with the “native” looking up at the latest technical achievements of the “white man” – it would be done, of course.
