Original poster, designed in 1909 by Carl Moos – meaning when he was still living in Germany – for the Munich Hacker brewery. The brewery used the launch of the Gordon Bennett balloon race, which took place in Zurich in 1909, to draw attention to the Bavarian Metzger beer hall in Zurich, where Hacker beer was served.
