Original Swiss poster, designed in 1952 by Ronald Kocher (*1929) of Bern to promote Montana (now Crans-Montana), located above Sierre in the Valais Alps, as a summer vacation and day-trip destination. This was Kocher’s third and final poster for this tourist region.
Kocher was not yet allowed to sign his very first poster design—which the Gurtenbahn used to promote itself in 1949 (and which foreshadowed the image shown here—see below)—so his instructor at the time, Hugo Wyler, signed it instead.
