Original tourism poster, designed in 1952 by Ernst Hodel on behalf of the Berner Oberland Railways, which includes the Schynige Platte Railway, a cogwheel railway built in 1893 that is still in operation today and runs to the observation deck above Interlaken. Once at the top, you have a magnificent view of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau.
The focus here, however, is on Alpine flora: Right next to the mountain station is the entrance to the Alpine Botanical Garden, which features around 600 species.
