One of the rare original tourism posters that put Zurich at the center of a campaign and, starting in 1957, promoted visits to and stays in the city—accordingly picturesque is the view of the old town with the Grossmünster and the Limmat as well as the tram on the quay, designed by Max Hunziker. The text at the bottom, written in seven languages, states among other things: Zurich, garden city by the lake, start and end of your Swiss journey—visitor center in the heart of Europe, shopping city and showcase of Switzerland.
