Original and bilingual poster (and one of the very few in landscape format) by the prematurely deceased Baldo, also known as Teobaldo Carugo (1903–1930), used by the local tourist office to lure visitors from German-speaking Switzerland and the French-speaking Romandie to the capital of the Canton of Ticino. Today, Carugo is primarily known for his sgraffito vedute in the historicist town hall built between 1924 and 1926, which recapitulate four centuries of Bellinzona's architectural history.

The text also alludes to the history of Bellinzona, «the medieval city» with its «magnificent castles»—referring to Castelgrande, Castello di Sasso Corbaro, and Castello di Montebello—as well as the artistic town hall and the «cathedral with its art treasures.».
