Equestrian Competition – La Chaux-de-Fonds

Original poster, designed in 1946 by Iwan Edwin Hugentobler (1896 – 1972), out of whose roughly 80 posters perhaps four or five had nothing to do with horses. As the son of a farrier and later as a cavalryman, he acquired profound knowledge of these animals—which he further refined in the early 1920s through studies at the Zurich Animal Hospital.
