Printed around 1905, making it an extremely early (if not the very first) and correspondingly rare original poster advertising Swiss ski bindings: Using a Belle Époque design by Gustav Walty of Davos, Jules Sessely-Richardson (owner of the Geneva-based business founded in 1837 and specialized in tourism and sporting goods) draws attention to his Steel System, which thus also used steel and was therefore presumably «superior.».
Why he changed his name from Sessely to Sessly remains a mystery—in any case, by 1905 the company was among the most important Swiss firms in this industry, alongside Richard Staub in Zurich and Dethleffsen & Cie. in Bern.
