Winter in Switzerland

Following the success of the Swiss Federal Railways’ (SBB) advertising campaign featuring the “Bonvivant”—designed by Eric Hermès and depicting a man enjoying his après-ski cigarette—the SBB commissioned a second design from the Geneva-based agency in 1938; although two years younger, is even rarer to find today.

But it’s also highly sought after because, with the man strapping on his skis, the connection to the very essence of winter sports is expressed even more clearly. Rare and precious.
