Original 1987 poster by the legendary agency GGK, founded in Basel in 1959 by Karl Gerstner, Markus Kutter, and Paul Gredinger (which was also entrusted with updating the corporate identity that was gradually introduced starting in 1979 for Swissair's upcoming 50th anniversary), announcing Swissair's newly added direct flights to Atlanta, the headquarters of Coca-Cola in Georgia, USA. Combining the wordmark (Coke) and the slogan (OK) for their own purposes (designed by Beat Keller, photography by Jürgen Tapprich) was something new in the 1980s and felt exceptionally refreshing—quintessentially GGK.
