This original Swiss poster by Charles Loupot—a Frenchman who, after being wounded in World War I, began a highly successful career as a poster designer in Lausanne—is exceptionally magnificent and in remarkably good condition.
Created in 1921, his «Cailler» is an embodiment of what constituted his visual calling card: pictorial and as refined as it is understated—the feeling sells the product, not a prominent image of it. That was also the reason why he was highly sought after, especially by clients from the fashion and luxury goods industries. An icon of Swiss poster history, on the threshold from Art Nouveau to Art Deco.
