The first of three posters created by Charles Loupot (1892–1962) for the fashion house founded in Zurich in 1889 by Adolf Grieder. To promote the fall collection of ready-to-wear clothing and fabrics, Loupot designed this lady—enveloped in fiery foliage, her hair tousled by the wind, and possessing that certain something—in his Lausanne studio. A stunning masterpiece by one of the most important creators in the history of the poster, superbly preserved and extremely rare on the market.

In 1972, the Geneva-based family-owned company Brunschwig acquired Grieder, which continues to operate under its own name at Paradeplatz; however, its headquarters are now located in Geneva (Bongenie Grieder).
