A rare original poster for the Crans ski resort in the canton of Valais, which in the early 1950s was not yet considered particularly fashionable and is now known as Crans-Montana following a municipal merger. Forty years after the 1987 World Ski Championships—which were an enormous success for Switzerland—the title competitions are once again taking place on the slopes of Mont Lachaux and La Nationale.
