The eagle depicted by Eduard Stiefel—one of Switzerland’s very first poster artists—on his original poster isn’t in a particularly good mood. On the other hand, no one would take a smiling bird of prey seriously if it looked grumpy. That would also make a mockery of the message—which is, however, entirely justified: Graubünden, the Alpine region of 150 valleys, is perfect for day trips or even vacations in the Bündnerland if you’re looking for some peace and quiet.
