LC ZH 2019 at PLACART – Opening of the exhibition on May 9
To mark the reopening of the Le Corbusier's Pavilions In Zurich on May 11, PLACART dedicates its first exhibition to that creative field of LC that he called the «source,» the «key» to his entire oeuvre: Le Corbusier’s artistic oeuvre.
The works represented in the exhibition bear witness to sixty years of continuous creative energy, which are able to convey to visitors an impression of the constant development of the artist – and thus also of the architect – Le Corbusier.
The beginning is marked by watercolors created in the first decade of the last century; the conclusion is formed by the copper engravings that remained unsigned following his death – in between, among others: a largely elaborated purist study; his «Poème de l’angle droit» hung as an iconostasis; a tapestry, modular sketches, and all of Le Corbusier’s artist’s posters.
