Original Swiss Winter Poster created by Martin Peikert and printed in 1939 on the occasion of the Swiss Ski Championships in Unterwasser, Toggenburg, canton of St. Gallen – a magnificent design by the Zug native (1901 – 1975): The bird’s eye view of the downhill racer at full speed inevitably gives the viewer the impression of being there himself and to feel the airstream, to hear the snow crunching.

The downhill was won by Karl Molitor from Wengen, who also won his home race on the Lauberhorn for the first time in the same year; with a total of six victories, he is still the most successful skier in the history of the Lauberhorn downhill; a rare piece of Swiss Sport history, excellently preserved.
