The idea of using a bright red, towering ski as a metaphor for a mountain is not only quite imaginative – the winter sports resort advertised in this way can’t help but be at the top. In this respect, an ideally implemented advertising message in strong colors (so with a great long-distance effect) and thus an extraordinarily successful original poster that simply puts you in a good mood thanks to the many lovingly drawn details.
Designed in 1956 by Donald Brun for the local tourist office to present Davos as a well-equipped spa and winter vacation resort, which not only had the Parsennbahn on the Weissfluhjoch to offer (which had been in operation since the early 1930s): In 1954 began the construction of the cable car from Davos Platz to the other side of the valley to Ischalp, which opened up the slopes of Brämabüel and Jakobshorn.
