Swiss Original Travel Poster commissioned by the Wilderswil tourist office in the early 1940s from Plinio Gächter – a Bernese commercial artist and later founder of the Studio für neuzeitliche Werbung – to make the village near Interlaken better known to hikers as a starting point for excursions to the highlights of the Bernese Oberland such as Schynige Platte or the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
