An exceedingly rare Original Poster, designed by the Swiss Pope of Horse Posters Iwan Edwin Hugentobler, likely created in 1938 for the equestrian sports festival held in La Chaux-de-Fonds (canton of Neuchâtel) – the first such event there since 1933 – which included a show jumping competition. The fact that the exact date of the event is missing is not unusual, as posters whose design was intended to be used over several years were printed in advance, and the date was added later using letterpress printing as soon as it was decided.
