Those were the days when hardly any winter sports resort had ski lifts – but such a funicular sledge as depicted by the Lenzerheide tourist office on this original poster from 1934 or 1935, in order to recommend itself to the people of the Unterland as a vacation resort.
The picture, taken by photographer Kurt Heinze, shows the Funi Val Sporz – Tgantieni, which covered a difference in altitude of 250 meters over a length of about 1200 meters. In 1942, the installation was dismantled and then used between Valbella and Sartons until 1961.
