Extremely rare Swiss Original Travel Poster, designed by Otto Ernst, who worked for the Trüb printing company in Aarau, on behalf of the Swiss Federal Railways, which for decades repeatedly advertised certain routes as well as excursion destinations in general with multilingual posters or posters printed in several languages, especially abroad, without being explicitly identified as the publisher.

Bellinzona, the capital of the canton of Ticino, was an obvious choice as the St. Gotthard and San Bernardino Alpine passes come together here and it is certainly the most Italian town in Switzerland with a correspondingly Mediterranean attitude to life, with the three castles Castelgrande, Castello di Montebello and Castello di Sasso Corbaro, representing the varied vagaries of history and now part of the Unesco World Heritage.
