Astonishing that the tourism bosses of Arosa waved through this poster in 1935, which – in view of the nipples clearly visible under the fabric – can be called courageous. Or tasteless. On the other hand, the people in charge may well have been aware of the risk and – gleeing of joy – sensed the hype it would cause. Which is what happened: Some cantons and the Swiss Federal Railways rejected to display the poster.
In the 70s, the whole thing wouldn’t have been a problem – today, however, a principal would probably commit economic suicide with such an action.
